Tracey Wray Buckley

Tracey Wray Buckley, 58, of Martinsburg, passed away Tuesday, January 31, 2017, in Elkhart, Indiana.

Tracey was born on April 11, 1958, in Waynesboro, Virginia, son of Willie Deloris Wright Griffey of Woodstock, Virginia, and the late Wray Clifford Buckley.

Tracey had attended schools in the Shenandoah County, Virginia, school system.  He was a veteran of the United States Army, having served from 1977 to 1980 and had been stationed in Germany during his military service.  He had been employed by Purdy Brothers Trucking since March of 2002 and was a professional truck driver most of his adult life.  He was a lifelong Oakland Raiders fan and never met a stranger.

Tracey is survived by his wife, DeLaine Kane Buckley, whom he married on April 14, 2012.  In addition to his mother, he is also survived by his stepfather, Donald Griffey of Woodstock, Virginia, and brothers, Paul Buckley (Debbie) of Toms Brooks, Virginia, and Mark Griffey (Devin) of Strasburg, Virginia.  He is also survived by nieces and nephews, Meredith Weaver, Channell Hood, Derek Buckley, William Griffey, Caden Griffey, Aaron Shipp, Amy Thorpe, Brandy Buckley, Jennifer Rubalcava and Christopher Buckley, nineteen great-nieces and nephews, three great great-nieces and nephews, aunts, uncles and cousins.

Tracey was preceded in death by his father, a sister, Belinda Faye Shipp and a brother, Robert Lee Buckley.Memorial donations may be made to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital, P. O. Box 1000, Department 142, Memphis, Tennessee, 38148.

 A memorial service will be held at the Toms Brook United Methodist Church, 3263 South Main Street in Toms Brook, Virginia, on Saturday, February 11, 2017, at 11:00 a.m.  The family will receive friends two hours prior to the service.  Lunch will be served following the service.
