Reva Evelyn Good Bowman

Reva Evelyn Good Bowman, 93, of Edinburg, went to be eternally with her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ on Wednesday, January 27, 2016.  The funeral will be held Saturday, January 30, 2016 at 11:00 a.m. at Zion Lutheran Church, 321 Headquarters Road, Edinburg, VA.  Pastor Katie Gosswein will officiate. Burial will be private in Pleasant View Memorial Gardens.

Reva Bowman was born January 3, 1923 in Mt. Jackson, daughter of the late J. Warren Good Sr. and Fannie Vesta Dellinger Good.  She graduated from Triplet High School in Mt. Jackson and Dunsmore Business School in Staunton.  She formerly worked at Klotz Brothers Scrap Yard in Staunton for over 22 years.  She was a fulltime homemaker and organist for several churches and Dellinger Funeral Home.  She was a member of Zion Lutheran Church where she was an organist and Sunday School teacher. She was preceded in death by her husband of 39 years, W. Alden Bowman whom she married on May 25, 1947, and her brother, J.  Warren Good Jr.

Reva is survived by her son, Joseph W. Bowman and wife Sharon and Reva’s pride and joy her twin granddaughters, Brittany and Whitney Bowman.

Pallbearers will be Dr. J.W. Good III, Dr. Jerry Germroth, Bobby Evans, Robert Perry, Roe Diaz and Barry Sweitzer.

The family will receive friends Friday from 6-8 p.m. at  Zion Church.
