Robert Lee Locklear

Robert Lee Locklear of Edinburg passed on to his heavenly father on July 19, 2012 at Rockingham Memorial Hospital.  The funeral will be held Saturday at 2:00 p.m. at Dellinger Funeral Home in Woodstock.  Pastor James Payne and Mr. Dwayne Culp will officiate. Burial will follow in Sunset View Memorial Gardens in Woodstock.

He was born December 7, 1945 in Lumberton, NC the son of Cora Lee Locklear and was raised in the home of his late grandparents Pearl and Narnie Locklear.  He was preceded in death by sisters Judy Lawson, Beatrice Stout,  Lillian Bailey  and Ruby Brummett and brothers  Thon C. Locklear and Benny Locklear.

Robert married Donna Kay Dellinger on July 10, 1970.  He is also survived by sons Robert Dwight of Front Royal and Daniel Corey of Miami, FL and loving sister-in-law Karen R. Dellinger of Kensington, MD.  Also surviving are sisters, Gracie Stout of Mt. Jackson, Marcella Strickland, Joyce Hardin, Carolyn McNeil and Blanchie McNeil all of Lumberton, NC and Jean Lewis of High Point, NC  and brother, Leon Locklear of Lumberton, NC.

Pallbearers will be Tom Dinardo, Leslie Warr, Jerry McClanahan, Kenny Price, Tony Stout  and Brian Brinkley.

The family will receive friends Friday from 7-9 p.m. at the funeral home.
