Roberta “Pokey” McCrackan Koch

Roberta “Pokey” McCrackan Koch, 85, of Woodstock, passed away Tuesday, December 25, 2012 at Shenandoah Memorial Hospital in Woodstock.  A memorial service will be held at a later date.

Mrs. Koch was born August 7, 1927 in Sharon, PA, daughter of the late Earl Craig McCrackan and Nellie Grace Stuart McCrackan.  She was formerly employed as a LPN at Shenandoah Memorial Hospital.  She was a member of Edinburg Christian Church,  Woodstock American Legion Aux., Woodstock Moose and the Eagles. She was preceded in death by two sons, Richard Leslie Koch and Robert Harold Koch and daughter, Linda Bernice Smith.

“Pokey” is survived by two sisters, Juanita Taylor of Harrisonburg and Elva Marcocci of Coraopolis, PA; four grandchildren and 9 great grandchildren.

    So sorry about your loss. I lost a good friend on Christmas day. Pokey and I met at the Moose lodge. We both are past officers and attended many meetings together. We worked and laughed together. I will miss having Chinese food with her. She was a good friend and will be missed.
