Roger Lee Sager, 82, of New Market, died Friday, July 8, 2011 at Rockingham Memorial Hospital in Harrisonburg.
He was born March 22, 1929 in Strasburg, son of the late Howard and Julia Orndorff Sager.
Mr. Sager served in the United States Army during the Korean War and was a member of Wood’s Chapel Independent Bible Church near New Market.
Roger was an avid sportsman and outdoors man.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Iva Sager.
He is survived by two daughters, Patricia Wall and Cathy Sager, both of Horseheads, New York; three sisters, Verna Ryman of Mt. Jackson, Dora Lee Woodward of Florida, and Betty Jean Chronister of Strasburg; two brothers, Henry Sager and Virgil Sager, both of Strasburg; and four grandchildren, Joseph Wall, Thomas Wall, Elizabeth Wall and Mary Wall, all of Horseheads, New York.
Memorial services will be Sunday at 4 p.m. at Wood’s Chapel Independent Bible Church with The Rev. Glen Turner officiating.
