Ronald Gilmore McKay

Ronald Gilmore McKay, 86, of Woodstock, widower of Bernice Mary McKay, died July 24, 2011.

A funeral service will be held Thursday, July 28, 2011, at 11:00AM at the Dellinger Funeral Home, Woodstock, by Rev. David Rash. Burial will follow at the Cedarwood Cemetery, Edinburg.

Mr. McKay was born at Brooklyn, New York ,on October 30, 1924, the son of the late George Ronald and Louise Cole McKay. He was the owner of the McKay Chemical Company. He was active in the Brooklyn Chamber of Commerce, served ten years as Mayor of East Williston, New York, and served as an adult scout leader for twenty years. He was a member of the Woodstock United Methodist Church, where he as an active member, and was active with the United Methodist Men.

Mr. McKay is survived by two sons, Robert B. McKay, of Ringwood, New Jersey, and Richard W. McKay, of Pearland, Texas; a brother, Robert T. McKay of Sao Paulo, Brazil; three grandchildren, and four great grandchildren.

The family will receive friends Wednesday evening from 7 to 9 pm at the Dellinger Funeral Home, Woodstock.
