  3. julianna brown says:

I will truly miss Ron and his knowledge of the classification of cars in the SCCA. The techshed at MARRs events has lost
one truly special person and friend.

  4. Tom & Jeanne Hoffman says:

Ron’s dedication and service to the WDC Region will be sorely missed. He was a friend and colleague who made it enjoyable for all of us who visited at Tech at Summit Point. He helped provided continuity and stability to his chosen interest at the track. Our thoughts and prayers are with Joyce and his entire family.

  5. Bill Radford says:

The WDCR Tech Shed at Summitt Point will never be the same without Ron. In the 15 years I have been racing he has always been there managing tech with Joyce. While racers sometimes complained about his perciseness in adherence to the SCCA rules, his dedication to compliance is what makes SCCA racing safe and competitive. As Chief of Tech for many years he helped make the WDCR Region and the MARRS series the best in the nation. I will certainly miss his constant presence in the Tech Shed, his contribution to WDCR as a member, Tech Inspector, Chief of Tech, supporter of WDCR, etc. but most of all as a great track friend. His name will be memorialized on the WDCR Monument at Summit Point.

    Bill Radford

  6. Jude Olivey says:

    Joyce and family,
My deepest and sincere sympathy is sent to you. Ron’s passing reminds us how precious life is. The constant presence of both of you, working together in Tech for Washington DC races, tells how special your partnership was. You are in my prayers as you now walk your life’s path. I will miss seeing and visiting with Ron.
