  2. Michael Thagard says:

I always remember fondly the love in Ruby’s face that showed her love of God, her family and friends. My mother the late Edna Lee Ettel Thagard of Harrisonburg was her cousin. I left H’burg and stayed in the military and government service until 2009. Every time I was in Va when Mom was alive she made an effort to see Ruby if at all possible and my time allowed. Ruby treated my young daughters forty years ago like they were her own with the love she showed them. Being a Christian (which I am sure has made a lot of people happy) has made me realize that God need another angel in heaven to show love. So God and our savior Jesus Christ decided it was time for Ruby to come home. Patsy and all the extended family and friends have our deepest sympathy and prayers for comfort at the time. God bless you all.
