Ruth Alice Spiker Holler, 83, of Toms Brook, passed away Thursday, March 12, 2015 at Consulate Health Care in Woodstock. A graveside service will be held Saturday, March 14 at 11:00 a.m. at Sunset View Memorial Gardens in Woodstock. Reverend Robert Throckmorton will officiate.
Mrs. Holler was born May 12, 1931 in Mt. Olive, daughter of the late Sidney Albert Spiker and Flossie Borden Spiker. She was formerly employed with Blue Bell, Aileen and Bowman Apple in Maurertown. She was a member of Toms Brook United Methodist Church and the Women’s Group of the church. She was preceded in death by her husband, William Douglas Holler; sister, Virginia Hottel and brother, Jim Spiker.
She is survived by two sons, Gary A. Holler and wife Pat of Toms Brook and Larry L. Holler of Toms Brook; daughter, Virginia A. Holler of Toms Brook; three sisters, Lucille Dodson of Mt. Jackson, Charlotte Stepp of Woodstock and Fleda Morganthaler of Maurertown; brother, Robert Spiker of Toms Brook; brother-in-law, Sonny Holler of Toms Brook; sister-in-law, Phyllis Himelright of Strasburg and numerous nieces and nephews.
Memorial contributions may be made to St. Matthew Lutheran Church in Toms Brook, Toms Brook United Methodist Church or Blue Ridge Hospice.
