Samuel Grady Keel, 76, of Edinburg, passed away Tuesday, May 20, 2014 at his home. The family will receive friends Friday from 6-8 p.m. at Dellinger Funeral Home in Woodstock. A private graveside service will be held in Phipps Cemetery in Clintwood, Virginia.
Mr. Keel was born November 4, 1937 in Dixie County, VA son of the late William Samuel Milton Keel and Wyoma Mae Browning Keel. He retired from Chemstone in Strasburg. He was preceded in death by a granddaughter, Jennifer M. Spiggle and two brothers and two sisters.
He is survived by his wife, Marion L. Keel; two daughters, Wyoma M. Keel and fiancé Karl Schnarrs of Edinburg , and Virginia L. Alcorn and husband Larry of Star Tannery; brother, Stephen A. Keel of Spotsylvania, VA; five grandchildren, April Ryman and husband Curtis, Richard Keel and fiancé Jennifer Bennett, John L. Spiggle Jr., Christina A. Baggarly and husband Phillip Baggarly Jr., and Robert L. Alcorn; four great grandchildren, Isaac, Noah, Landon and Morgan.

Samuel enjoyed fishing, hunting and gardening and will be greatly missed by family and friends.
