Shirley F. Fadely, 77, of Woodstock, passed away Tuesday, May 28, 2013 at Greenfield of Woodstock, VA with family around her. A graveside service will be held Saturday, June 1, 2013 at 2:00 p.m. Sunset View Memorial Gardens in Woodstock, VA. Pastor Brian Duncan will officiate.
She was born February 24, 1936 at Woodstock, VA to Joni and Kathryn George Seal. She was a member and one of the first twelve that helped to start First Church of Columbia Furnace. She married Dean A. Fadely on December 24, 1966 (46 yrs. 5 mos. 4 days). She is also survived by her children, Angela Russell and Jim of Woodstock, VA, Cameron Warner and companion Joyce Fadeley of Fort Valley, VA, Bart Warner and Melissa of Mt. Jackson, VA and James D. Fadely of Woodstock, VA; five grandchildren, Kyle Warner, Kalyn Warner, James Edward Fadely, Chad Lamma and Matthew Lamma; four great grandchildren, Cole Mantz, Madelyn Lamma, Raegan Lamma and Jackson Lamma; three sisters, Louise Arigot of New Jersey, Nannie Bowman of Edinburg and Fay Neff and Floyd of Woodstock. She was preceded in death by three brothers and one sister.
Shirley worked at Blue Bell, Aileen, Dollar General and Bowman Apple Products. She was a very good cook, working her garden and her flower beds. She never met a stranger.
