Stanley E. Ford, 94 of Edinburg passed away Thursday, December 17, 2015 in Winchester. Services will be Monday, December 21, 2015 at 2:00 P.M. at Dellinger Funeral Home in Woodstock. Burial will follow at Sunset View Memorial Gardens. Reverend Robert Jones will officiate. The family will receive friends prior to the service from 12:00 – 1:45.
Stanley was born December 20, 1920 in Washington, Pennsylvania. He was the son of the late Charlie and Grace Patton Ford. He was a U.S. Army veteran serving during World War II. He was a member of Wesley Chapel United Methodist Church. He was preceded in death by his first wife Lillian of 59 years and 6 siblings. Stanley loved his dog and sidekick, Maggie. He was an avid gardener all his life. He was a fantastic self-taught carpenter and loved making things for other people.
Stanley is survived by his wife, Jane; 2 daughters, Martha Mobley and husband Homer of Basye, Sue Graham and husband Ronny of Gainesville; son, Daniel Thomas Ford and wife Pam of Edinburg; stepson, Stephenson Todd Cox and wife Angela of Dover, Delaware; stepdaughter, Tammy Lynn Maggitti and husband Michael of Elkton, Maryland; 5 grandchildren; 6 great grandchildren; 5 step grandchildren; 1 step great grandson and many, many loving nieces and nephews.
Pallbearers will be Daniel Ford, Ross Mobley, Ryan Graham, Daniel Ford, Jr., Brett Mobley, and Thomas Leewe.
