Susanne Helen Fisher passed away peacefully in the arms of her husband Stephen Harry Bay on Saturday, August 15, 2015 at the University of North Carolina Memorial Hospital in Chapel Hill.
Susanne was born on January 6, 1973 to Gabriele Louise Fisher and the late Gary Edwin Fisher. She is the granddaughter of Vivian Fisher and the late Benjamin Fisher and the late Paul and Paula Combes. Susanne is survived by her Sister Michele Louise Bossard, her Aunts Eileen Fisher, Helene Combes, Elizabeth Krapp and Uncle Roland Combes, her Nephew James Nikolas Bossard, Brother in law John Smith Hicks, Father in law Harry Ernest Bay, Step Mother in law Helen Elizabeth Bay, Sister in law Kathleen Bay Falcinelli, Brother in law Thomas Richard Falcinelli, and Nieces Kristen Elizabeth Falcinelli and Jessica Marie Falcinelli.
Susanne was predeceased by her brother, Thomas Benjamin Fisher, Mother-in-law Irene Hart Grady, and Brother-in-law David Blair Bossard.
Susanne grew up in Gaithersburg Maryland and graduated from Quince Orchard High School in 1991. She moved to Kill Devil Hills, North Carolina in 1994 where she enjoyed life as an artist by the beach creating beautiful jewelry and other fine works of art. She enjoyed her life in the outdoors with beachcombing, swimming, hiking, kayaking and gardening. She showcased her creativity through jewelry making, painting, weaving and baking. She volunteered her talents at the charitable organization Endless Possibilities, where her works of art were sold to benefit the local women’s shelter.
Family will receive friends from 6 – 8 pm on Friday, August 21, 2015 at Dellinger Funeral Home at 159 N. Main Street in Woodstock, VA 22664. A celebration of life will take place between 7 – 8 pm, where friends and family are invited to share their experiences with Susanne. Funeral Services will be held at 1:00 on Saturday, August 22, 2015 at the St. John Bosco Roman Catholic Church. Burial will follow at St. Paul’s Lutheran Church Cemetery, at 4109 Jerome Road, Edinburg, VA 22824. All are invited for refreshments in the Fellowship Hall afterward.
Susanne brought heartfelt warmth and beauty to the world with her loving smile and the sparkle in her eyes. She will be missed dearly by all who knew her.
