Theodore “Ted” Wilson Hulvey

Theodore “Ted” Wilson Hulvey, 92 of Mt. Jackson, died Thursday, January 20, 2011 at his home.

Mr. Hulvey was born December 20, 1918 in Bergton, son of the late William Daniel and Mary Catherine Smith Hulvey.

He retired from Naval Research and Development Center and served in the United States Army Air Force during W.W. II as a tail gunner on a B24.

Mr. Hulvey was a member of St. John’s United Church of Christ in Hamburg.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Dorothy Lee Hulvey August 1, 2003 whom he married December 9, 1944.

Mr. Hulvey is survived by a daughter, Pamela Sue Zemany of Mt. Jackson; a son, Daryl Lee Hulvey and his wife Yvette of Memphis, TN; five grandchildren; and five great grandchildren.

The funeral service will be Monday at 11 a.m. at the Dellinger Funeral Home in Mt. Jackson with the Rev. David Roe officiating. Burial will follow at St. John’s Church Cemetery in Hamburg.

Pallbearers will be Daryl Lee Hulvey, Andrew Hulvey, Wilson Hulvey, Alfred R. Heishman, Jr., Tommy Nichols, Richard Heishman, Carroll F. Hottle and William E. Sibert, Jr.

The family will receive friends Sunday from 7 to 8 p.m. at the funeral home.
