Timothy Patrick Sullivan of Bryce Resort at Basye, Virginia, passed away early the morning of January 22, 2014.
Tim was born on March 27, 1961 in Washington D.C., to the late John L. Sullivan and Frances Anne Sullivan. He is survived by his sisters and brother; Francie Sullivan; Candice Keever; Jack Sullivan, Jr. and wife, Brenda; Abbe Kennedy and husband, Bubba. Tim is also survived by his aunt Beverly Jones and his nieces and nephews J.T. Keever, Christopher Keever, Heather Keever Elias, Josh Keever, Jackson Sullivan, Francie Kennedy, Randall Kennedy, and Kelsey Kennedy.
Tim graduated from Central High School (’79) in Woodstock, VA, and loved playing tennis and singing in the choir during his time as a student. After high school, he attended Lord Fairfax Community College and Radford University.
Tim’s career was in the corporate hotel industry for over twenty years serving as General Manager, Director of Corporate Accounts, and Director of Food & Beverage at numerous properties throughout the United States.
Tim battled Multiple Sclerosis for most of his adult life. Even under these circumstances he exemplified constant faith, hope, dignity, humor and love. His positive outlook on life was remarkable. Tim was a loving son, brother and friend.
A memorial service will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Friday, January 31 at St. John Bosco Catholic Church, 315 N. Main Street Woodstock, VA 22664 with the Committal service to be held at a later date.
Memorial contributions specific to research may be made in memory of Timothy Sullivan to either the national Multiple Sclerosis Society, Blue Ridge Chapter, 1020 Carrington Place, Charlottesville, VA 22901 or, locally, to the Shenandoah County Community Foundation, P.O. Box 31, Woodstock, VA 22664 in memory of Tim Sullivan for a CHS scholarship fund to be established.
