Warren Calvin Neff

Warren Calvin Neff, 91 of Mt. Jackson, died Wednesday, July 18 2013 at Shenandoah Memorial Hospital in Woodstock.

Mr. Neff was born June 9, 1922 in Ferncliff, Virginia, son of the late Joseph Richard and Stella Irene Walters Neff.

He served in the United States Army during World War II. He was a member of Walker’s Chapel Church of the Brethren in Mt. Jackson. He was a member of the Mt. Jackson Moose Lodge #979

He is survived by a niece, Bonnie Clatterbuck and husband Roger of Culpeper; a nephew, Terry Stunkle of Mt. Jackson; a number of great and great great nieces and nephews and many cousins.

A funeral service will be today, Friday, at 11 a.m. at the Dellinger Funeral Home in Mt. Jackson with Rev. Cecil Haycock officiating. Burial will follow at the Mt. Jackson Cemetery.

The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service.

  1. Gosh,

    I remember Calvin from the country music dances at the fire hall in MT. Jackson and Stoney Creek.

    He was a good friend of Roy Harris, who played in the bands at those dances.

    Lots of good stories.
