Wilma Day Ryman 87 of Maurertown, died Monday, January 2, 2012.
A funeral service will be held on Thursday, January 5, 2012, 2:00 pm at Toms Brook United Methodist Church by Rev. Robert Throckmorton. Burial will follow at Saumsville Cemetery.
Mrs. Ryman was born November 25, 1924 at Needmore, West Virginia, the daughter of the late Joseph W. and Hazel D. Wilkins Hamman. She was a member of the Toms Brook United Methodist Church for 65 years. Mrs. Ryman was employed by Blue Bell, where she retired with thirty- two years of service. She also volunteered for Skyline Terrace Nursing Home and the Clothes Closet. She was preceded in death by a brother, Lee Hamman.
Mrs. Ryman is survived by her husband of sixty- nine years, Carson Ryman; two sons, Gene Hamman and wife, Barbara, and Leo Ryman and wife, Gloria; a daughter, Joyce French and husband, Orrin; four sisters, Juanita Himelright, Gladys Garrett, Genevieve Ragar and husband, Richard, and Lillie Zirkle and Frank; a brother, Alvin Hamman; four grandchildren, Valerie French Cale and husband, David, O.L. French and wife, Shauna, Candy Ryman Phillips and husband Brett, and Jim Ryman and wife, Marty; nine great grandchildren.
The family will receive friends Wednesday evening from 6 to 8 pm at the Dellinger Funeral Home, Woodstock.
Pallbearers will be O.L. French, Jim Ryman, David Cale, Brett Phillips, Larry Burner and Barry Burner.
