Zane Louise Coffman Wilkins

Zane Louise Coffman Wilkins, 93, of New Market, passed away on Sunday, August 2, 2015 at Timberview Crossing Assisted Living in Timberville.  The funeral will be held Wednesday, August 5 at 11:00 a.m. at Dellinger Funeral Home in Woodstock.  Pastor Bruce Johnson will officiate.  Burial will follow in Sunset View Memorial Gardens in Woodstock.

Mrs. Wilkins was born on November 1, 1921 in Macanie, Virginia to the late Joseph Franklin and Bessie Mae Coffman.  She was a member of Manor Memorial United Methodist Church, where she was active for many years.  She was a devoted farmer’s wife, mother, and grandmother, who worked hard throughout her life helping family and friends.  She cooked many meals for farm hands and previously operated Ward’s Donut Villa in Woodstock, Virginia.  For several years, she served as a USDA inspector.  She was preceded in death by her husband, Earl Kline Wilkins whom she married on June 14, 1943 and brothers, Joseph Coffman and Clifford Coffman.

She is survived by two sons, Joseph Paul Wilkins and his wife, Winnie and Wayne Eugene Wilkins all of New Market; two grandchildren, Kimberly Emerson and her husband, Brent of Front Royal and Christopher Wilkins of New Market; a great granddaughter, Mackenzie Emerson of Front Royal and a sister, Donna Sager of Mt. Jackson.

Pallbearers will be Keith Coffman, Kevin Coffman, Steve Coffman, Richard “Dick” Coffman, Eddie Wilkins and Kenny Sager.

Honorary pallbearers will be Anthony Silvious, Leslie Warr, Peter Jordan and Bob Good.

The family will receive friends Tuesday from 7-8 p.m. at the funeral home.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Building Fund at Manor Memorial United Methodist Church.
