Barbara Rinker Obituary
Barbara Sue Rinker, 78, of Maurertown, passed away Tuesday, February 8, 2022, in Winchester. A funeral service will be held on Friday, February 11, 2022, at 2:30 p.m. at Zion Christian Church in Maurertown; Pastor Eric van Leeuwen will officiate. The burial will follow in Sunset View Memorial Gardens.
Barbara was born June 7,1943 in Woodstock, Virginia. She was the daughter of the late Elmer and Elizabeth Bowers Shiley. She was the secretary of the Maurertown Citizen's Club, a member of Zion Christian Church, and an auxiliary member of the Toms Brook Volunteer Fire Department. She was preceded in death by a daughter, Susan Rinker.
Barbara is survived by her daughter Debra Lynn Rinker Funk and two grandchildren.
Pallbearers will be Stacy Vormbrock, John Snarr, Billy Fadeley, Jason Shipe, Gary Wayne Shipe, and Bruce Yahner.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to Zion Christian Church, P.O. Box 237, Maurertown, Virginia 22644 or the Toms Brook Fire Department, P.O. Box 168, Toms Brook, Virginia 22660.
