Betty Wolverton Obituary
Betty Jane Wolverton passed in peace on August 25th, 2018 at Evergreen Health and Rehab at the age of 93.
Betty was born May 22, 1925 in Woodstock. She was the daughter of the late Guy and Bertha Link Wolverton, she was also preceded in death by her sisters, Charlotte Snyder and Jeannine Fleming. Betty graduated from Shenandoah Business College and was employed by Dalke's Community Theater, Woodstock Wholesale Meats, and Sigma Sigma Sigma until her retirement. She was a devoted member of Emanuel Lutheran Church where she served as a Sunday school teacher, member of the junior and senior choirs, church council, and ELCA.
She is survived by two nieces, Cindy Snyder and Karen Mifflin, one nephew Michael Fleming, two great nieces, Megan Mifflin and Michaela Fleming, and one great nephew Edward Mifflin.
A private family service will be held at a later date. Memorial gifts may be made to Emanuel Lutheran Church, 127 E High St Woodstock, VA 22664.
