Dennis Mack Obituary
Dennis Mack, 79, of Stafford passed away at St. Mary's hospital in Richmond on Friday, December 17, 2021.
Dennis was born on June 29, 1942, in Hooper, Nebraska to Norman, a local farmer, and Dorothy (Shaffer) Mack. Dennis graduated Hooper High School and joined the Navy serving several tours and honorably discharged as YNC Chief Yeoman.
On July 6, 1967 he married Haruyo Kumamoto in Tokyo, Japan and went on to have four children, three of whom survived. Last year they celebrated their 54th anniversary.
As a young man he enjoyed his dog, helping with farm work, and participating in the mixed chorus high school choir and earning and placing superior in a district music contest.
Survivors include his wife Haruyo Mack, step-brother Glen Christensen, step-sister Verla Gatchell (Christensen), sons Terry, Scott, and Dale, and three grandchildren.
