Dorothy Funkhouser Obituary
Mrs. Dorothy "Dot" Lou Funkhouser, 89, of New Market, passed away Thursday, Aug. 2, 2018, at her residence. She was born Feb. 25, 1929, in Rockingham County and was a daughter of the late Carroll and Mertie Plaugher Lamma. Dot was raised in the Mount Clifton community.
She was married to the late Ewings Funkhouser, who died Feb. 18, 1997.
She is survived by her daughter, Carol Lee Holsinger and son-in-law, Darryl Holsinger; three grandchildren, Tina Conner, Chad Holsinger and wife, Carissa Holsinger, and Erica Jodrie and husband, Steve Jodrie; five great-grandchildren, Ashley Dudley, Christian Armstrong, Cole Holsinger, Caiden Holsinger and Zander Jodrie; three sisters, Barbara Kent, Carolyn Lamma and Betty Funkhouser, and a brother, Richard Lamma.
She was predeceased by three brothers, Jack Lamma, Bob Lamma and Bill Lamma.
Pastor Bruce Kipps will conduct a graveside service 11 a.m. Saturday at the Mount Clifton Community Cemetery, west of Mount Jackson.
There will be no visitation and the casket will remain closed.
