Eldena Kibler Walker, 91 of Silver Spring, Maryland who passed away Wednesday, November 28, 2018 at Holy Cross Hospital. Services will be Monday, December 3, 2018 at 11:00 A.M. at Dellinger Funeral Home, Woodstock. The family will receive friends 1 hour prior to the service. Pastor Nate Robinson will officiate. Burial will follow in Sunset View Memorial Gardens.
Eldena was born June 5, 1927 in Woodstock. She was the daughter of the late Leonard and Elizabeth Myers Kibler. She was a 1944 graduate of Woodstock High School and attended Woodstock Business School. Eldena worked as a file clerk and bookkeeper at the local Chevrolet Dealership in Woodstock and the Federal Bureau of Investigation in Washington, D. C. before her marriage to Ralph. After her wedding, Ralph and Eldena moved to Washington, D. C. where she worked at General Motors Acceptance Corporation before starting a family. After her children were grown, she worked at CIGNA insurance company for 18 years before retiring. Her family was the center of her life. She was devoted to her husband, son, daughter, and grandsons and they to her.
Eldena is survived by her husband of 67 years, Ralph C. Walker; a son, Michael Walker of Lake Ridge, Virginia; a daughter, Debra Hazlett and husband Paul of Frederick, Maryland and three grandsons, Paul, Matthew, and Benjamin Hazlett.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the American Heart Association.
