Gerald John Obituary
Gerald John, 89 of Woodstock passed away Wednesday November 24, 2021, at Dutch Haven Nursing Home. Services will be at 10:00 A.M. on Tuesday, November 30, 2021, at St. John Bosco Roman Catholic Church. The family will receive friends at Dellinger Funeral Homes, Woodstock on Monday, November 29, 2021 from 6-8 with a Rosary service at 7:30.
Gerald was born on November 2, 1932, in Browerville, Minnesota to the late Stanley and Anna Motzko John. He retired from the State Department as the Director of Procurement, was a veteran of the US Air Force, but his talents and passions were carpentry and construction. Jerry was also the past Grand Knight of the Knights of Columbus-his faith in God and the Church was unwavering. He was also the best husband, father, grandfather, brother, and friend you could ever ask for. He was preceded in death by his wife Kathleen and a son, Eric John, and 6 brothers and a sister.
He is survived by a son, Kevin John; 2 daughters, Theresa Scruggs and husband, Horace and Gina James and husband, John; a daughter in law Terri John, widow of Eric; 6 grandchildren, whom he loved dearly; and 1 brother, Eugene John.
