Houston Randolph Miller, Sr., 91 of Woodstock passed away peacefully at home surrounded by his family on Tuesday, January 12, 2021. Services will be private; Pastor Nathan Robinson will officiate. The service will be live streamed on Emanuel Lutheran Church’s Facebook page, on Saturday at 11:00 A.M., https://facebook.com/emanuelwoodstock/. or https://us02web.zoom.us/j/83456982050. The funeral home will be open for the community to come and pay their respects to Houston on Thursday at 12:00 P.M. until 5:00 P.M. and Friday from 9-5. Houston was born on December 18, 1929 in Jerome and was the son of the late, Melvin and Edna May Miller. Houston was the owner of Edinburg Motors, Inc. He was a faithful member of Emanuel Lutheran Church and participated in the Edinburg Lions Club. He enjoyed gardening, feeding the birds, and attending his annual cousins party and class reunion. He was preceded in death by his wife of 62 years, Emogene Richman Miller and a sister, Bonnie Coffman. He is survived by his son, Houston “Randy” Miller, Jr. (Lisa) of Woodstock; his 4 daughters, Debbie Cline (Lee) of Woodstock, Diane Dorrin (John) of Woodstock, Dawn Patterson (Steve) of Richmond, and Donna Kibler (Randy) of Edinburg; 3 sisters, Lois Jimenez, Gloria Bowers and Carolyn Brinker; a brother, Dean Miller; 12 grandchildren and 8 great grandchildren. Pallbearers will be Andrew Dorrin, Craig Cline, Brian Cline, Cory Cline, Brent Dorrin, Houston Kibler and Christopher Miller. Honorary Pallbearers will be the Triplett High School class of 1947, Employees of Edinburg Motors, Bob Johnson, Frank painter and Columbus Tutt, Jr., He was loved and respected by his family and friends. The family would like to thank his caregivers, Sharon Martin, Susan Mason and Renee Lutz. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Emanuel Lutheran Church 127 East High Street Woodstock, Virginia 22664.
