Jean Mumaw Obituary
It is with heavy hearts, we announce the passing of our mother Jean Marie Vaughn Mumaw, 82 of Edinburg, Virginia. She passed away on Sunday, August 1, 2021, at Shenandoah Memorial Hospital after a hard-fought battle with cancer. A Celebration of Life will be at 11:00 A.M. on Saturday, August 14, 2021, at Woodstock Christian Church. Pastor Perry G. Coverstone will officiate. Burial will be private.
Jean was born on September 11, 1938, in Woodstock, Virginia and was the daughter of Walter Dolan and Ruby Presgraves Vaughn. She was preceded in death by her husband Douglas C. Mumaw.
She is survived by five children: two sons, Kelly Mumaw and his wife Wanda, Douglas David Mumaw and his wife Melissa and three daughters, Tonya Kelley and her husband Kevin, Leslie VanWickler and her husband Bill and Holly Aldridge and her husband Fred. Jean was a devoted grandmother to ten grandchildren Heather Weller, Kevin P. Kelley, II, Brittany VanWickler, Danielle VanWickler, Breann Mumaw, David Perry, Lynnette Woycik, Kaitlyn Cole, Justin Aldridge, and David Kemp. She was also proud of her ten great grandchildren, Jackson, Harrison, Jamison, Ellison, Landon, Charles, Addison, Abigail, Delaney, and Dayne.
Jean has touched the lives of so many, she will be dearly missed and forever in our hearts.
