Joyce Hargis Obituary
Joyce Ann Hargis, 77 of Fairfax passed away on Tuesday, September 1, 2020 at Fairfax Nursing and Rehab. A Graveside Service will be at 12:00 P.M. on Tuesday, September 8, 2020 in Sunset View Memorial Gardens. Pastor Wes Johnson will officiate. Family will meet at the funeral home 1 hour prior to the service for a visitation.
Joyce was born on April 19, 1943 in Carroll County, Virginia and was the daughter of the late Victor and Golda Horton Largen. She was a retired deli manager/local 400 member. Growing up she enjoyed and participated in Roller Derby, she enjoyed the outdoors, car shows and was a member of the Mustang Club. She loved Doberman Pinschers and her dog Pluto. She was preceded in death by her first husband, William Marion Rivers, Sr. and second husband, Jesse (Jack) Hargis, a son William Marion Rivers, Jr, a grandson, William Marcus Rehor and a brother Robert Dale Largen.
Joyce is survived by a daughter, Jo Glass (Jo Ann Rivers) and husband Joe, a grandson, Ray Cody Hicks, and wife Valeria, 2 great grandchildren, Jeremy Ray Hicks, and Valerie Ella Hicks and 1 brother, William (Bill) Cody Largen.
Masks are required at the visitation.
