Karla Edmonds Obituary
Karla Sue Edmonds, 49 of Maurertown went home to be with her Lord and Savior on Friday, December 11, 2020. A Celebration of Life will be at 3:00 P.M. on Sunday, December 27, 2020 at Valley Pike Church of the Brethren. Pastors Jonathan Fletcher and Roy Marshall will officiate. Family will receive friends an hour prior at the church, from 2-3 P.M. COVID restrictions apply for both the service and visitation.
Karla was born on August 3, 1971 in Winchester, Virginia and was the daughter of the late Kenneth Wilkins and is survived by her mother, Cora Ann Wilkins.
Karla was a friend to everyone she met and enjoyed serving others. She was involved in several groups and ministries including the founding of the Lighthouse Grocery Store which is a food pantry located in Woodstock, Virginia. Karla also had a wonderful gift for nurturing young mothers. She was completely devoted to her family and will live forever in their hearts.
Karla is survived by her loving husband, Doug Edmonds, her son, Will Edmonds, her 3 daughters, Hailey Edmonds, Mackenzie Edmonds, and Gracie Edmonds, her sister, Mary Ann Davis, and husband Clark, and her sister-in-law Cathy Edmonds.
In lieu of flowers, the family is requesting that donations be made to the Lighthouse Grocery Store 109 N. Main St. Woodstock, Va. 22664.
