Roger Dinges Obituary

Roger Allen Dinges, 67 of Timberville, passed away Friday, August 21, 2015 at his home peacefully, surrounded by his loving family.

Mr. Dinges was born January 7, 1948 in New Market, son of the late Herman Luther and Marie Blanche Dinges.

He served in the United States Marines during the Vietnam War.

Mr. Dinges was a former employee for Neuman Aluminum USA and a realtor for Countrywide Real Estate in Woodstock. Before his retirement he worked at 7-11 and Mt. Jackson Moose Lodge.

He was a member of the Mt. Jackson Moose Lodge, # 979.

He is survived by his wife Lois Dinges whom he married June 22, 1985.

Also surviving are three daughters and spouses, Stephanie and Daniel Cantrell of Singers Glen, Lori Dinges and Ian Ritondale of Timberville and Nichole and Michael Schneider of Broadway; a son Jason Dinges of California.

He was a devoted grandfather to his seven grandchildren, Danielle and Jessica Cantrell, Brady and Baylee Turner, Gavin Ritondale, Gabriel Ford and Landon Schneider.

Also surviving are five sisters, Frances and Melvin Tusing of Quicksburg, Barbara and Stan Steeves of Elkton, Peggy and Butch Smith of Luray, Debbie and Wallace Clark of Staunton and Betty and Bill Davis of Elkton; two brothers,, David and Nancy Dinges of Mt. Jackson and John and Nancy Dinges of Grottoes.

He was preceded in death by a sister, Maryetta Dinges.

A memorial service will be at a later date.
