Evelyn Louise Wade, 93 of Greer South Carolina, formally of Edinburg, died May 12, 2010.
A graveside service will be held on Sunday, May 16, 2010, 11:00 AM at Cedarwood Cemetery, Edinburg. A memorial service will be held on Wednesday, May 19, 2010, 4:00 PM at the Redeemer Lutheran Church, Greer, SC.
Mrs. Wade was born February 20, 1917 at Woodstock, Virginia. She was the daughter of the late Elon and Sylvia Belle Miller Sheetz. She was a graduate of Edinburg High School and a member of the Redeemer Lutheran Church in Greer, SC. Her favorite work was to volunteer with the hospitals in Woodstock Virginia and Greer South Carolina. Mrs. Wade received an award for 500 hours of service in the Greenville Hospital System.
She was preceded in death by her two husbands, D.C. Williams and Rolf Turmo, a son, Thomas Edward Turmo, and a dear friend, Denny Hill.
Mrs. Wade is survived by a sister, Mary Belle Oberbmier; a daughter, Sylvia Ellen Wall and her husband, Don; two grandchildren, Chuck Wall and wife, Natalie and Jed Wall and wife Anne Marie; five great grandchildren, Lucas, Sophie, Violet, McKinley, and Jack; two stepsons, Thad and Don Williams.
The family requests that memorial contributions be made to Redeemer Lutheran Church, P.O. Box 1054, Greer, SC 29652-1054.
