James Lee Angel

James (Jim) Lee Angel of Edinburg, VA passed away on January 28, 2024, at home with his family. He was born on August 2, 1935, in Yellow Rock KY to Lee and Thelma Angel.  Jim married Naomi Jean (Sparks) Angel on June 25, 1960.

Jim served his country in the US Air Force from 1955 to 1959 and had a 33-year career in the cartography department of the CIA.

Upon retirement, he enjoyed working with the publishing company Donnelly. Books were a big part of Jim’s life making this job a favorite. After the Donnelly closed their operation, Jim followed his second favorite interest and went to work in the electronic department of Walmart.

In addition to his wife Jean, he is survived by his children and their families. His son Tony Angel, wife Careen and their children Hayley and Sydney. His daughter Michele Angel Baggette, husband Kenny and their children Josh, Jacob, Alexandra, and her children Kash and Delilah. His son Todd Angel, wife Lisa and their children Brandon and Kyle with his children Shaylee and Greyson. 

A mass will be held at St. John Bosco 315 N Main St. in Woodstock VA on Friday, February 9, 2024.
