Ronald Patrick Burnside

Ronald Patrick Burnside, 76, of Annandale, Virginia passed away on September 27, 2023, at the Renaissance of Annandale. A Graveside Service will be held at 1:00 P.M. on Saturday, October 21, 2023, in Sunset View Memorial Gardens.

Ronald was born on June 18, 1947, in Washington DC and was the son of the late Julian Burnside.

Ron grew up in Brandon, Florida and graduated from Brandon High School in 1966.  He enlisted in the U.S Navy at the age of 19 and he retired in 1987 after 21 years of service.  Ron chose to continue working for the U.S. Navy, but this time as a civil servant.  After 21 years of public service, he decided to retire for the last time in 2008.  Ron was married for over 41 years to Linda Burnside.  He was an avid reader and sometimes would read multiple books at a time.  Ron was a very intelligent man who had an incredible sense of humor and loved his family and friends dearly.      

Ronald is survived by his loving wife Linda Burnside, his mother Virginia Nolan Benton, and his sister Robin (Marty) Carey.
