William Cockerille Obituary
William Douglas Cockerille, age 65, of Mount Jackson, VA passed away Thursday, August 5th at his home. He was born on August 11th, 1955 in Washington, DC the son of the late Lester and Mary Ann Cockerille.
In his earlier years he helped his family run their farm and manage racehorses. He was a devout Christian who loved everyone unconditionally and spread the love of Jesus everywhere he went. He was a simple man who had a passion for classic cars, music, and his family.
He was preceded in death by his mother Mary Ann Cockerille, father Lester Douglas Cockerille, sister, Mary Evelyn Cockerille. He is survived by his sister Katherine Ross and cousin, Craig Cockerille; nieces, Susan Bacus and Jessica Ross; and great nieces, Allison, Tucker, and Zoey Bacus, Nevaeh Ross.
Funeral services will be held Saturday, September 18th at 11:00 AM at Greenwich Presbyterian Church, 15305 Vint Hill Rd, Nokesville, VA with Pastor Don Meeks presiding. Burial will follow in the church cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be made to the SEARCH Group Home at 5742 N Main Street, Mount Jackson, VA 22842.
