Audrey Elizabeth Irwin Polk, 81, of Edinburg, passed away Thursday, December 16, 2010 at Shenandoah Memorial Hospital in Woodstock. The funeral will be held Sunday at 3:00 p.m. at First Church of Columbia Furnace. Reverend Brian Duncan will officiate. Burial will follow in the church cemetery.
Mrs. Polk was born March 4, 1929 in Edinburg, Virginia, daughter of the late Brooks Irwin, Sr. and Elizabeth Maude Kirby Irwin.
She was formerly employed as a CNA at Skyline Terrace Nursing Home in Woodstock for 18 years and was a member of First Church of Columbia Furnace. She was preceded in death by a sister, Juanita Shepherd.
She is survived by her husband of 63 years, Norman Polk; son, Anthony Ray Polk and his wife Susan of Middletown; daughter, Linda Elizabeth Seymour and her husband Charles of Spotsylvania; four sisters, Goldie Polk of Edinburg, Nina Smith of New Market, Betty Wolverton of Edinburg and Patsy Grandstaff of Woodstock; brother, Brooks Irwin, Jr. of Edinburg; eight grandchildren and 16 great grandchildren.
Pallbearers will be David Polk, Charles Seymour II, Joseph Seymour, Ken Wilson, Andy Burke and Mark Stalbird.
The family will receive friends Saturday from 7-8:30 p.m. at the Dellinger Funeral Home in Woodstock.

Audrey walked with the Lord her whole life and looked forward to the day when she would see Him face to face. She will be greatly missed by family and friends.
